Garso Generatoriai

Garso Generatoriai, "Sound Generators", are a Vilnius-based music composition and sound design collective... with twenty-five years of cult status, a string of award-winning film scores, and a philosophy that cuts straight to the point: the best film is without music.

Formed by composers Paulius Kilbauskas and Vygintas Kisevičius, and sound designer Justinas Štaras, they have shaped the sonic identity of Baltic and European cinema from their base in Vilnius. Their scores favour live instruments over digital shortcuts, silence over saturation, and emotional precision over spectacle. The result is music that doesn't announce itself, it inhabits.

Among their most recognised work: Solomamma (Les Arcs Music Award, 2024), Scarecrows (Latvian Lielais Kristaps), Zero Zone and The Gambler (both Silver Crane winners) — alongside dozens of acclaimed film, television, and advertising projects across the Baltic and beyond. Read More
